Voicemail issues on the iPhone are typically brought on by incorrect Voicemail settings and network issues with your cellular service provider. It is so important when you can’t answer the phone, it enables you to receive voicemails. When you start to depend on voicemail to receive your messages, it can be upsetting when it malfunctions. So, if the voicemail on your iPhone isn’t working, here’s how to fix it.

Verify Voicemail Setup
- Make sure the Change Voicemail Password option is visible by going to Settings > Phone.
Turn on and off the cellular service.
- From Settings or Control Centre, you can turn off Cellular Service and then turn it back on.
- Open Settings > Cellular > Turn Cellular Data Off. Switch it back on after 30 seconds.
Activate and deactivate Aeroplane Mode
- Swipe down from the top right of the screen, where the battery indicator is, on an iPhone X or later. Swipe up from the bottom of the screen on iPhone 8 or earlier.
- To activate Aeroplane Mode and cut off all connections, tap the Aeroplane icon.
- Tap the same aeroplane icon again after 30 seconds to turn off Aeroplane Mode.
- Voicemail can not be functioning properly owing to simple frozen programmes and processes.
- Select Shut Down from the Settings > General menu by scrolling to the bottom of the page. Use the slider to turn off your iPhone on the following screen.
- Allow your iPhone to completely shut down before restarting it after waiting 60 seconds.
Turn off Bluetooth
- Bluetooth network interference with cellular networks can sometimes be the cause of problems.
- Toggle Bluetooth off by going to Settings > Bluetooth.
- Re-enable Bluetooth on your device after the issue has been resolved to see whether the issue is still present.
Reset network configuration
- To restore your iPhone’s network settings to their factory defaults, write down your WiFi network password and follow the instructions below.
- To transfer or reset your iPhone, go to Settings > General > Reset. Choose the Reset Network Settings option on the pop-up menu.
- Enter your Lock Screen Password if requested, and then hit Reset Network Settings to confirm on the confirmation pop-up.
- You will need to contact your carrier network’s customer service if the issue is still not resolved in order for them to assist you.
Install any Carrier Settings updates that are available.
- Navigate to Settings > General > About. There will be a pop-up if there is an update. Click Update.
Automatically set the date and time and reset the time zone
- It is advised to let your device adjust the time automatically for the majority of users. In order to confirm that your time zone and other settings are accurate:
- Open the Settings menu and select General > Date & Time > Set Automatically.
Talk to your provider
- It’s time to call or go to your carrier if changing your network settings and even that didn’t help.
