How to Remove Duplicate Contacts on iPhone
Delete Duplicate Contacts from iPhone Manually
- On your iPhone, open the Contacts app and choose any duplicate contacts you wish to delete.
- Tap the Edit option in the top-right corner of your screen on the next screen.
- Scroll to the bottom of the same screen and click the Delete Contact button.
- To delete the duplicate contact from your device, hit Delete Contact on the confirmation pop-up.
Merge Duplicate Contacts on iPhone
- Launch the Contacts app, then choose any duplicate contacts you want to remove.
- Tap the Edit option on the next screen, which is in the top-right corner of your screen.
- Scroll to the bottom of the same screen and select the Link Contacts option.
- Select the Duplicate Contacts you want to link on the following screen and press the Link button in the top-right corner.
- To save this modification on your iPhone, be sure to hit on Done.
Disable Contacts Linked to Email Accounts
Disabling lists linked to your email accounts is another quick approach to organise your contacts list. Consider decluttering since not all of these contacts are pertinent.
Go to Settings > Contacts > Accounts to do this. After that, tap the disputed account to turn “Contacts” off.
